These human motion perception demo movies are in MP4 format, which should be compatible with most up-to-date browsers. If you find that the demos do not run in your browser, it may be worth trying a different browser.
Each demo contains some explanatory text, with one or two references that usually cite some of the earliest papers published on the effect. You can use these references as a lead-in to find more recent work, using online databases such as Google Scholar which lists later papers that cite them.
